Rumours suggesting that Apple could release a bigger screen iPhone just keep growing. Now a Chinese tech site, GizChina, has put out pictures of what it claims is the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 6 from a Foxconn Factory. You can check out all the pictures here.
The post also states that the rumour appeared on Sina Weibo (China’s version of Twitter) claiming that the both the iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 had been spotted at by a supplier. It adds that the the iPhone 5S looks pretty similar to iPhone 5, but the iPhone 6 sports a 5-inch display, longer body and thinner profile.

This isn’t the first rumour around two versions of the iPhone. Previously iLounge had reported that Apple was likely to launch as many as three new versions of the iPhone this year. It said that one would be a 4-inch-screened iPhone 5S and a supposedly larger-screened 4.8-inch “iPhone Math” model before the end of June, while a third model with a 12-megapixel camera would arrive before Christmas.
Also Apple Insider had reported that Apple is testing the new iPhone 5S and another smartphone. The report added that the smartphone could be out by June or July and was based on a note circulated to investors by Jefferies analyst Peter Misek where he states that Apple is testing two iPhone prototypes, one being the iPhone 5S and the other a low-cost iPhone.
The analyst had also stated that the iPhone 5S has a new “super HD camera/screen, a better battery, and NFC,” and “possible updates include an IGZO screen for Retina+” The device could come in six to eight colours like the iPod Touch (fifth generation).
Macrumours had also posted images from the French site Nowhereelse.fr which the French site claims are speaker enclosures for both the upcoming iPhone 5S and a future iPhone 6.
Does a bigger screen iPhone make more sense for Apple? According to Marco Arment, creator of popular iOS app Instapaper, it certainly does. He writes on his blog,
First and foremost, there’s significant demand for larger-screened phones. As much as we make fun of the Galaxy Note, it sells surprisingly well, especially outside of the United States. Other large Android phones sell very well almost everywhere.
The iPhone has lost a significant number of sales by buyers either wanting a larger screen or being drawn to how much better the large screens look in stores.
