Update: Google Play Store and Gmail both appear to be back for now. Once again, it seems Gmail is down. According to downrightnow, the status appears to be of service disruption. The last disruption was on 2 May while a full-scale Google outage occurred on 17 April as well. The Google Apps Statusboard however does not currently show a service outage or disruption for Gmail but it is showing service disruption for Google’s Postini services, which is the Google Apps platform and also handles Gmail’s archiving and security. [caption id=“attachment_763041” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Its down people.[/caption] Google’s Play Store is also down, and both Gmail and Google Play Store are giving the 503 error which means its a server error. More on this as it unfolds. Let us know in the comments if Gmail and Play Store is down for you. And as usual people are ranting on Twitter. Here are some tweets.
Gmail and Google Apps both down, this is happening a lot more often. I wonder if the paid Google Apps members' SLAs are holding up.

That annoying moment when you have to speak to someone to communicate with them instead of sending an e-mail, all because GMail is down.
