The Master Trials expansion for 'The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' arrives tonight

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for the Nintendo Switch has proven itself to be a spectacular, critically acclaimed title. Many claim that the game will redefine how role-playing games of the future are designed.

The game released in March this year, and while you can play the game forever, new content is always welcome. On that front, there's good news! Gamespot has received confirmation from Nintendo that The Master Trials DLC for the game is just hours away from being unlocked. The DLC was teased at E3 2017.

As the name suggests, the first DLC for this Nintendo masterpiece introduces a number of trials that involve the Master Sword from the series. Gamespot confirms that the DLC also introduces a harder difficulty mode, new items and updates to the tracking and fast travel mechanics of the game.

The second DLC for the game, also teased at E3 2017, is titled The Champion's Ballad and is due later this year.

Both DLCs can only be purchased as a $20 'Expansion Pass'. As a bonus, when you purchase the Expansion Pass you will also find three new chests in the Great Plateau area of the game. These chests will contain some Expansion Pass exclusive items, including a shirt with the Nintendo Switch logo.
