Taiwanese PC makers Acer today added a new product to its Nitro gaming laptop lineup, the Nitro 5 Spin convertible gaming notebook. Acer claims this laptop to be the country's first convertible gaming notebook and has priced the notebook at RS 79,990 for the base variant.
The Acer Nitro 5 Spin boasts of a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 GDDR5 graphics card powered by Intel's latest 8th generation Core i5 and i7 processors. Flipkart is the exclusive online retailer of the Acer Nitro 5 Spin while it will also be sold offline across major outlets and retail chains.
Going by details provided on Flipkart, the base variant comes configured with a 4 GB GTX 1050 graphic card, a Core i5 8250U processor and a 1 TB 5,400 rpm hard disk drive. The higher variant gets a Core i7 8550U processor and a 256 GB SSD on top of a 1 TB HDD.
The convertible notebook comes with a 15.6-inch FHD 1920x1080 IPS-grade display along with Acer's Colour Intelligence technology for tweaking the colour modes and CPU load. Acer BlueLightShield also helps reduce eye strain caused by blue light emission from the screen.
The Niro 5 Spin also gets dual-front facing speakers with a subwoofer for a better sound output. Acer has also thrown in its TrueHarmony and Smart Amplifier capabilities to be able to tweak the audio output to the users liking.
The convertible notebook comes with one USB 2.0, two USB 3.0 and one USB type-C port while also having an HDMI port and a 2-in-1 card slot. The notebook weighs in at around 2.2 kgs and will boot Microsoft Windows 10 Home out of the box.
