BlackBerry's latest flagship device, the Z30 which has a 5-inch screen and a quad-core processor will be launched in India at an event on 24 October, according to a news report on IBNLive.com.
IBNLive's report also adds that "the company is also expected to make some significant announcements which are still not known."
The phone features a 5 inch touchscreen with AMOLED display, a larger battery which the company says will provide longer life, an 8 MP rear camera and 2 MP front camera. The company has not specified the storage capacity of the phone, but has mentioned that it comes with an SD card slot. The Z30 has a 1.7 GHz processor with quad-core graphics. It comes with stereo speakers.
The Z30 runs the news BlackBerry 10.2 OS. Some features of the BB 10.2 are:
BlackBerry Priority Hub: This is for conversations and notifications. The Hub can learn what conversations and what people are important to you, making it fast and easy to find the messages and information you need. It collects priority messages across your email, social networking and other accounts and gives you instant access to these conversations.
Upgraded BBM: Users now get a preview of any message as it arrives in whatever app they're using, and immediately dismiss it or tap it to read the full content and respond. If a BBM message arrives, users can instantly reply to the message without leaving the app they're in. In addition, if the phone is locked, users can tap the various icons on the Lock Screen to see an instant preview of their most recent messages and notifications.
Stereo Audio and BlackBerry Natural Sound : BlackBerry Natural Sound is new technology that the company says is exclusive to BlackBerry and part of the BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.2. The technology allows users to hear nuances and variations in tone.
New Antenna Technology: New generation antenna technology dynamically tunes reception to give you better connectivity in low signal areas. The company says that this also can give you faster data transfers and fewer dropped calls.
