According to a new report on French tech website, No Where Else Apple's new version of iPhone could have coloured shells. The report also carried pictures of the alleged back-body shells in three colours — Red, Yellow and Green.
The pictures were first leaked onto Chinese micro-blogging website Weibo. So are these pictures geniune or just a Chinese fake? Well according to the French website these shells are clearly not intended to replace the upcoming original hull of the current iPhone 5 .
However the site also compared these shells to the 'supposed' motherboard of the iPhone 5S which was leaked last month and the attachment points of the motherboard seem to match with those of the shell.
An iPhone 5S with colourful neon shells would definitely match Apple's new iOS 7 with its bright design. There's also a good chance that Apple could introduce at least two bigger iPhones next year — one with a 4.7-inch screen and one with a 5.7-inch screen, if this Reuters report is to be believed.
The report said that Apple has approached suppliers with plans for the larger screens but the design change is not yet confirmed.
“They constantly change product specifications almost to the final moment, so you’re not really sure whether this is the final prototype,” the report quoted a person with direct knowledge of the matter as saying.
The Reuters report also said that Apple could launch an iPhone in the $99 segment.
