Angry Birds launch into space

by Mar 22, 2012

Everyone has tried various spin-offs, from Angry Brides to Angry Anna, but the original Rovio game, Angry Birds, still remains hugely popular. The success of the game has revealed the potential that mobile games have in today’s world as users increasingly turn to smartphones. Now the creators of the game have taken the game to the final frontier, or so it would seem, by launching the Pigs vs Birds battle straight into Space.

TheNextWeb reports:

“Angry Birds Space has a new twist compared to earlier versions of the game, incorporating new characters and a new physics engine, obviously because the game has been transported to an environment that is devoid of any gravity.”

The new version of the game is available for download on the iPhone and iPod Touch for 99 cents. If you are one of those lucky few who’ve bought the new iPad, you can check out the game in HD mode $2.99. For Mac users, it’s available on the App Store for $4.99. Android users can download the game for free.
