Obama vows U.S. response to North Korea over Sony cyberattack

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama vowed that the United States will respond to the devastating cyberattack on Sony Pictures blamed on the North Korean government. Obama said the cyberattack "caused a lot of damage" to Sony but that he believed the company made a mistake in canceling the release of "The Interview," a comedy portraying the assassination of the North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un. Despite billions in aid, U.S. unable to get Pakistan to confront militants

First, the Bush administration heaped praise on former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf, agreed to reimburse the Pakistani army for anti-Taliban military operations and launched drone strikes that killed al Qaeda leaders and militants wanted by the Pakistani government. #Business #Obama #Technology #France #Arabic #Afghanistan #Army #Argentina #United Kingdom #Mexico #author #opinion

In the Devyani Khobragade saga, Indo-US ties biggest victim

The Americans grossly misjudged and miscalculated the response of India, ignoring the fact that Washington chose to up its ante at a time when general elections are less than four months away and no government in New Delhi could have politically afforded to take the American affront lying low. #United States #Barack Obama #diplomacy #ConnectTheDots #Preet Bharara #Nisha Desai Biswal #United Nation #Devyani Khobragade #Sangeeta Richards #India-US diplomacy #Diplomat arrest row
