White House intruder had 800 rounds of ammunition in car prosecutor

WASHINGTON (Reuters) A decorated Iraq war veteran who scaled a fence on Friday night and got into the White House had over 800 rounds of ammunition in his car and was arrested in July with a sniper rifle and a map marking the executive mansion, a federal prosecutor said on Monday. U.S. says won't link Iran cooperation on Islamic State to nuclear talks

WASHINGTON (Reuters) The United States said on Monday it will refuse any effort by Iran to gain its cooperation on fighting Islamic State forces by being more flexible about Tehran's nuclear program. Senior Iranian officials told Reuters that Iran is ready to work with the United States and its allies to stop Islamic State militants but would like more flexibility on Iran's uranium enrichment program in exchange. Asked to respond, White House spokesman Josh Earnest said the idea was unacceptable #facebook #Politics #India #Japan #Brazil #France #United Kingdom #Latin America

Ebola toll passes 2,800 but "contained" in Senegal, Nigeria WHO

FREETOWN (Reuters) An outbreak of Ebola in West Africa has been largely contained in Senegal and Nigeria, the World Health Organisation (WHO) said on Monday, but the disease is still spreading elsewhere and has now killed over 2,811 people in the region. Senegal and Nigeria, the most recent of five nations to record cases of Ebola, implemented strict measures to isolate the ill and track down further possible cases steps that Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone have failed to impose, allowing the disease to take hold in cities and rural communities. Sierra Leone said it had registered 130 new cases of Ebola during a threeday national lockdown that ended late on Sunday, the most radical move yet to try to contain a disease that has killed around half of those it infects and is crippling some of the weakest countries in West Africa #Politics #Technology #Arabic #markets #Argentina #Nigeria #United Kingdom #Mexico #Virus

Israeli high court orders closure of detention centre for African migrants

JERUSALEM (Reuters) Israel's high court on Monday outlawed a detention centre where African migrants are held without trial and ordered some 2,000 inmates there released over the next three months. The ruling struck down a measure passed by Israel's parliament in December to indefinitely incarcerate migrants, most of them from Sudan and Eritrea, in a measure criticised by human rights groups as an attempt to force migrants to leave #Politics #United States #China #Business #Technology #France #Arabic #Russia #United Kingdom #Latin America #Mexico #opinion
