Niger, Chad troops pursue Boko Haram in Nigerian border area

DIFFA, Niger (Reuters) - Troops from Chad and Niger pursued Boko Haram fighters across a northern Nigeria border area on Thursday, driving them out of a village they held there and causing some to flee into Niger, two senior Niger military officers said. Boko Haram kidnapped hundreds in northern Nigeria town -residents

DAMASAK, Nigeria (Reuters) - Boko Haram militants have kidnapped more than 400 women and children from the northern Nigerian town of Damasak that was freed this month by troops from Niger and Chad, residents said on Tuesday.
