Germanwings crash victims remembered with candles and angels| Reuters

COLOGNE, Germany (Reuters) - The passengers and crew killed in the Germanwings plane that crashed into the French Alps were remembered on Friday at a memorial service in which 150 candles were lit on the steps of the altar of Cologne Cathedral. With the grief still raw just over three weeks after the crash that killed all 150 people on board, small wooden angels were put on the pews to comfort the 500 family members trying to come to terms with how and why their loved ones died. German co-pilot Andreas Lubitz is suspected of deliberately crashing the jet into a mountainside during a flight from Barcelona to Duesseldorf on March 24 #Economy #United States #France #Middle East #science #markets #Italy #Mexico

In Labour's Scottish bastion, nationalists prepare an upset| Reuters

GLASGOW/LONDON (Reuters) - In Scotland's biggest city, nationalists have triggered a once-in-a-century shift in political loyalties that could dash Labour leader Ed Miliband's dreams of winning the May 7 election and thrust secessionist 'kingmakers' to the heart of British power. The shifting currents in Glasgow, the citadel of Scottish socialism for more than a century, show the seriousness of the nationalists' bid to end Labour's dominance of Scotland, a significant change in recent British political history. The nationalist challenge could trigger events after the election that threaten the future of the United Kingdom and possibly its membership of the European Union. #Politics #United States #India #Technology #markets #Africa #Argentina #United Kingdom #Latin America #opinion #lifestyle

Boko Haram slit throats of 12 as army tries to save civilians - sources| Reuters

MAIDUGURI, Nigeria (Reuters) - Boko Haram militants have slit the throats of 12 people in northeast Nigeria as the army was trying to evacuate civilians from the area, a military source and a witness said on Friday. The Islamist group has been driven out of much of the huge swathe of territory they controlled at the start of the year, thanks to a concerted push by troops from Nigeria and neighbours Chad, Niger and Cameroon. #Politics #Business #Sports #United States #India #Technology #France #markets #United Kingdom #Latin America #Mexico #opinion

BJP win lifts markets, but road to economic recovery may be long

The function of the markets is to believe what it wants to believe. A bear market factors in only the worst even if there are some signs of turning around. A bull market factors in the best, even if the signals are unsustainable. #Economy #Stock market #GDP #BJP #ToWhatEffect #Indian rupee #Lok Sabha elections #tax revenue
