Netanyahu gets go-ahead to form Israel's next government

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, grappling with fierce White House disapproval, won consent from Israel's president on Wednesday to try to form a new coalition government. The surprise victor of a March 17 election, Netanyahu looks well set to assemble a heavily right-leaning cabinet that will control 67 of parliament's 120 seats - a large majority in a country where no one party has ever been able to rule by itself. President Reuven Rivlin had some uncharacteristic criticism of Netanyahu as he went through the formality of handing him a mandate to establish a new government, having verified with party leaders that a majority supported him #Business #facebook #India #France #Russia #Israel #Italy #Argentina #United Kingdom #Latin America #Mexico #author

Palestinian teen dies of injuries in Israeli clash - hospital

RAMALLAH, West Bank (Reuters) - A Palestinian teenager died on Wednesday of a gunshot wound sustained a week ago during a confrontation with Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank, hospital officials said. The officials at Ramallah Hospital said Ali Safi, 17, had been shot through the chest. Witnesses said soldiers had responded to stone-throwing at a protest against a barrier going up between a Jewish settlement and a refugee camp near Ramallah. #facebook #India #China #Technology #Russia #Israel #Argentina #United Kingdom
