    Became coach of Zimbabwe in February 2010, presiding over Zimbabwe's return to Test cricket in August 2011, when they won a one-off Test against Bangladesh.

  • Brendan Taylor

    Born: Harare

    DOB: 6.2.1986

    Batting/Bowling style: RHB, ROB, Wk

    He scored 60 not out to lead Zimbabwe to a famous win over Australia in the ICC World Twenty20 2007 and will be hoping to do more of the same.

  • Elton Chigumbura

    Born: Kwekwe, Midlands

    DOB: 14.03.86

    Batting/Bowling style: RHB,RM

    In May 2009, he hit 103 not out off 56 balls in a Twenty20 match for Northerns against Centrals at Bulawayo. Even now has the highest strike-rate of anyone who has played 10 or more T20I matches for Zimbabwe.

    Made his international debut at the age of just 18 * In his debut ODI series against Kenya, he finished as the leading wicket-taker (15 wickets in 5 games)

  • Craig Ervine

    Born: Harare

    DOB: 19.08.85

    Batting/Bowling style: LHB, ROB

    Brother of Sean Ervine. He shared a 114-run stand with Elton Chigumbura to lead Zimbabwe to a win over Australia in the ICC World T20 2010 warm-up match.

  • Kyle Jarvis

    Batting/Bowling style: RHB, RFM

    He made his Test debut after playing just six first-class games. His father, Malcolm, played five Tests and 12 ODIs.

  • Hamilton Masakadza

    Born: Harare

    DOB: 09.08.1983

    Batting/Bowling style: RHB, RM

    He has the highest run-aggregate in T20Is for Zimbabwe and is their most consistent batsmen. He will need to fire.

  • Stuart Matsikenyeri

    Born: Harare

    DOB: 03.05.1983

    Batting/Bowling style: RHB, ROB

    Right-handed opening batsman, part time off-spinner and a sharp fielder at gully. He last played for Zimbabwe in an ICC WT20 game in 2007.

    A tall, fast bowler who made his ODI debut in 2004. Celebrates his wickets by shuffling his feet... so watch out for that.

    Consistent batsman in the Zimbabwe local league but can he cut it at the international level as well?

  • Richard Muzhange

    A medium-pacer, he is a true athlete. Apart from being a budding cricketer, he has also represented Zimbabwe at the Under-16 athletics (javelin) and U-20 basketball.

    He was ranked the number 2 bowler in the ICC ODI Rankings for bowlers in 2009. He is their best spinner.

  • Vusi Sibanda

    A product of the Zimbabwe Cricket Academy, he was fast-tracked into the national team. He hit nine centuries in Zimbabwe in 2009-10, a world record.

  • Prosper Utseya

    Batting/Bowling style: RHB, ROB

    Served as captain between 2006-10, stepping down after the ICC WT20 2010. He has played 139 ODIs and is one of their most experienced players.

    He took five wickets in each of his first two ODIs - a feat unparalleled in ODIs. The younger lot of Zimbabwean cricketers who are coming up through the new franchise system.

    His father, Andy, played for Zimbabwe and his 99 helped the team to chase down its highest ever target in One-Day Internationals of 329 against New Zealand at Bulawayo in October 2011.
