Barcelona, Spain: Williams has launched its revamped FW35 race car for the 2013 Formula One season, as the veteran British team looks to build on last year’s race-winning effort.
Pastor Maldonado and rookie teammate Valtteri Bottas unveiled the new car which the team says represents an 80 percent upgrade on last year’s entry that Maldonado piloted at the Catalunya Circuit to win the Spanish Grand Prix in May.
Maldonado says “last year we won a race and were competitive, but … consistency will be our aim to close the gap to the teams in front.”

The team says the car has a new gearbox and rear suspension, as well as changes to its nose and body.
Williams is practicing in Barcelona ahead of the season-opening Australian GP on 17 March.
