Watch: Serena Williams makes up for Wimbledon absence, hits court for light drills despite pregnancy

As Wimbledon kicked off on Monday, tennis fans all over the world missed seeing Serena Williams in action.

Clearly itching for some action too, the seven-time Wimbledon winner seemed to have a pregnancy craving of another kind.

Despite being in the third trimester of her pregnancy, she was doing some 'easy standing drills' as she bust out her racquet and practiced her baseline forehands.

Wimbledon got me like: Easy standing drills this morning. Go easy.

The 35-year-old tennis player posted a video of her doing some light drills, and it seems like she hasn't lost her touch.

Her sister, Venus Williams, beat 21-year-old Elise Mertens 7-6 (9-7) 6-4 in the first round of Wimbledon 2017 on Monday.

The seven-month pregnant star athlete later posted a photo of her cradling her baby bump. The photo was in response to comedian Ben Stiller's invitation for her to participate in a celebrity Dodgeball match. But Williams obviously had to politely decline on account of her pregnancy.

The now-retired American tennis legend John McEnroe stirred a controversy last week by suggesting Williams would rank 700th if she played against men.

Unfortunately, we can't possibly see him try a similar feat.
