Raina mocks Pak on twitter, then blames it on nephew

by Oct 5, 2012

It’s usually the English Premier League star or the Formula One racer who comes out and tweets something controversial.

But this time out, Indian cricketer Suresh Raina became the latest member from the sporting fraternity to fall into the Twitter soup.

A Daily Bhaskar report says that the southpaw fell in trouble for a tweet on his account which read: “Ek do din late gaye ghar. Woh bhi beshram ki tarah gaye. Bye bye Pakistan!”

The tweet was deleted and Raina later wrote on his account that it was posted by his nephew and not him. He also said that he was a sportsman and would never show disrespect.

The tweet was posted a couple of minutes after he wrote: ” Back home after so many days.. Can’t wait to Join The Chennai Super kings For CL.”

How his nephew could access his Twitter account within two minutes of the cricketer posting himself remains a mystery.

He also realised his mistake a day later, saying that smartphones were dangerous.
