Maxwell, Nayar, Mendis: Who got whom and for how much?

The IPL auction concluded in Chennai a short while ago, and it saw quite a few surprises.

The highest bid went to the unlikely Glen Maxwell who was snapped up by the Mumbai Indians for a cool $1 million, followed by Ajantha Mendis who fetched $725,000 from the Pune Warriors. Meanwhile Abhishek Nayar was the subject of a five-way bidding war and ultimately went to the Pune Warriors for $675,000.



Among the 37 players who were snapped up this season were Ricky Ponting and Michael Clarke who surprisingly only went for base price, Darren Sammy and Dirk Nannes.
