RCB coach Dan Vettori
Vettori: We are pretty happy to get Vijay Zol and to get backup fast bowlers was pretty crucial. We may have had the three best T20 players in the world and we have complemented it with Yuvraj.
DD coach Gary Kirsten
Kirsten: I think the IPL is great for Indian cricket. A whole new group of players exposed to high level cricket. Dinesh Karthik was quite smart to not accept retention. And Pietersen wanted to come back and it was important for us to know that he will be available for the entire season. Karthik and Pietersen front-runners to become captain.
Kirsten: We wanted Yuvraj as well -- he can do the damage with the bat, is a class act and I have worked with him. But for me most importantly he is left-arm bowler too and adds balance to the side.
