Mumbai: Having already pocketed the five-match cricket Test rubber, with an unassailable 2-0 lead, a confident India will be aiming to keep the winning momentum going when they face an inconsistent England in the fourth match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai from Thursday. This will be the first instance since 1989 when India will play a Test at the Wankhede sans retired batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar. The fourth Test will also give India a chance to exact revenge for their loss in their previous two Test meetings at the ground before heading to Chennai for the final encounter. Going into Thursday’s encounter, the Virat Kohli-led side will aim to extend their dominant run despite some injury concerns in the squad. [caption id=“attachment_3129334” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Virat Kohli and Alastair Cook. AP[/caption] The top-order batting has clicked well for the hosts with Cheteshwar Pujara and Kohli himself exhibiting great form in the middle while all-rounders Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja have handled any hiccups brilliantly lower down the order. Senior wicketkeeper-batsman Parthiv Patel, who was drafted into the national side after after an eight-year long wait, has displayed good maturity behind the stumps as well as an opening bat with scores of 42 and unbeaten 67 in the third Test at Mohali. But with the return to fitness after a forearm injury of opener KL Rahul, Patel may be asked to bat down the order. Youngster Karun Nair, who made his Test debut at Mohali, looks likely to make way for Rahul. Kohli will however, be concerned with the form of opener Murali Vijay who has failed to click in this series so far. Kohli’s deputy Ajinkya Rahane, however, has been ruled out of the remainder of the Test rubber after the Mumbai batsman sustained an avulsion fracture on his right index finger during training on Wednesday. Manish Pandey has been named as Rahane’s replacement. The bowling department have so far fared decently with pacers Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami managing to be amongst the wickets with the new ball. However, Shami’s concerns with a sore knee makes him a doubtful starter. In his absence, Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be Umesh’s likely new ball partner. Local boy Shardul Thakur has been named as a back-up option in case Shami is ruled out of the squad. The spin department, comprising the trio of Ashwin, Jadeja and Jayant Yadav have well established their supremacy over the English batsman and Kohli is likely retain the trio at the spin-friendly Wankhede. India will also aim to keep their 16-match unbeaten streak and are just one short of equalling their own unbeaten record of 17 games without a loss. On the other hand, despite conceding the series, the visitors are expected to come hard after spending a week away in Dubai. England had also replaced two injured players – teenaged opener Haseeb Hameed and left arm spinner Zafar Ansari – with two uncapped players – Keaton Jennings and Liam Dawson. For any chance of reviving their fortune in the ongoing series, the visitors will bank on their batting, which has failed to click as a unit so far. Skipper Alastair Cook will be expecting atleast two of his main batsmen – Joe Root, Moeen Ali, Jos Buttler and stumper Jonny Bairstow – to spend enough time in the middle while handling the Indian spinners. Promising left-handed opener Jennings is likely to partner Cook at the top. Meanwhile, the return of pacer Stuart Broad, who missed the third game after sustaining a foot injury in the Visakhapatnam Test, will lend enough teeth to their bowling attack. The visitors are likely to go in with four pacers with leg-spinner Adil Rashid and Moeen filling the spinners’ slots. Squads: India: Virat Kohli (Captain), Murali Vijay, Lokesh Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, Manish Pandey, Ravichandran Ashwin, Parthiv Patel (wk), Ravindra Jadeja, Amit Mishra, Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav, Karun Nair, Jayant Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shardul Thakur. England: Alastair Cook (Captain), Keaton Jennings, Moeen Ali, Jonny Bairstow (wk), Jake Ball, Gary Ballance, Gareth Batty, Stuart Broad, Jos Buttler, Ben Duckett, Steven Finn, Liam Dawson, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Chris Woakes. After 91 overs,England 279/5 ( Ben Stokes 23 , Jos Buttler 11)
Both England batsmen have settled down well after the flurry of wickets. Meanwhile, India have completed the minimum quota of overs. Oh hold on, a huge shout for LBW in Jadeja’s over. Umpire turns it down, but Jadeja forces Kohli to take the review. Replays show that the impact is outside off, the decision stands. Kohli is not at all impressed.
After 88 overs,England 270/5 ( Ben Stokes 18 , Jos Buttler 7)
Jadeja comes back into the attack. Buttler’s edge flies past the second slips and runs for a four. What is Buttler doing there? He’s living dangerously, he leaves Jadeja’s delivery which almost crashes onto the stumps.
After 86 overs,England 263/5 ( Ben Stokes 16 , Jos Buttler 2)
3 off Ashwin’s 28th over. Chance? No. Stokes’ edge falls short of Pandey at second slip. Buttler pushes it to mid-on for a single. Stokes goes back and cuts it covers and runs one.
After 84 overs,England 259/5 ( Ben Stokes 13 , Jos Buttler 1)
Slightly short and Ashwin hits it to mid wicket for a four. Oh hold on, massive turn! It spun so much that Kohli collected it at first slip. Jayant bowls a maiden from other end.
You have to love test cricket. Hang in and keep trying, you never know what can happen when the intent is good. Suddenly 3 wickets!

After 82 overs,England 255/5 ( Ben Stokes 9 , Jos Buttler 1)
Ashwin tormenting the visitors who have lost a bit of grip on this game. Yadav, Jadeja creating pressure from the other end. India would be hoping to get few more wickets before the close of day’s play
After 74 overs,England 233/4 ( Jonny Bairstow (W) 2 , Ben Stokes 1)
India maintaining the pressure on the new batsmen. Ashwin beat the outside edge on a couple of occasions. Testing times for England who need to survive this storm to cap off a good day for England
After 70 overs,England 230/2 ( Keaton Jennings 112 , Moeen Ali 50)
Massive turn for Jayant, beats Jennings. Jennings cuts to take a single. Moeen drives through covers to bring up his half century with a single.
After 68 overs,England 225/2 ( Keaton Jennings 110 , Moeen Ali 47)
Moeen defends towards third man for a single. Jennings uses his feet, hits it to deep square leg and takes one. A lot of sweeps being used after tea. Jennings first sweeps to fine leg to bring Moeen on strike. And then Moeen slog sweeps Jayant twice to deep midwicket and gets a boundary on both instances.

After 66 overs,England 214/2 ( Keaton Jennings 108 , Moeen Ali 38)
England continue to get a boundary per over and are on course for a big score here. It’s good to see Virat Kohli still attacking and trying to trigger a flurry of wickets to pull things back a bit before the end of day’s play
After 64 overs,England 202/2 ( Keaton Jennings 103 , Moeen Ali 31)
Some vicious deliveries from Jayant Yadav, one of which flies off the outside edge of Moeen Ali’s bat, but it was just wide of the slip fielder. Jadeja to bowl next from the other end. Ali seems determined to make a mark with his bat after a few failures

After 59 overs,England 192/2 ( Keaton Jennings 101 , Moeen Ali 23)
Kohli brings back Bhuvneshwar into the attack. Four singles off his 9th over. Meanwhile, Moeen and Jennings complete their 50-run stand off 121 balls. Jennings reverse sweeps Jayant to bring up his maiden Test century. Magnificent effort from the debutant.
After 57 overs,England 182/2 ( Keaton Jennings 94 , Moeen Ali 20)
Umesh all over Moeen. The southpaw edges to second slip, while expecting a bouncer, but Kohli fails to catch it and the ball runs away towards third man fence. A tough chance, but can be counted as dropped. Jayant comes back into the attack and bowls a maiden.
After 55 overs,England 175/2 ( Keaton Jennings 94 , Moeen Ali 13)
Moeen slices Umesh to point for a single. Nasser Hussain in commentary box has just confirmed that Reiffel has gone to the hospital for a CT scan just to make sure that everything’s fine. Jennings, after facing four dots, nudges it to square leg and runs one. 2 runs off Ashwin’s 21st.
After 53 overs,England 171/2 ( Keaton Jennings 92 , Moeen Ali 11)
Jennings pushes it to deep square leg for a single. A short leg positioned for Moeen off Umesh. Ashwin continues. Jennings, batting on 92, plays out the over. A huge appeal for lbw on the last ball, it was going down the leg side.
