Panaji: Bollywood icon Shahrukh Khan's much-hyped investment in India's premier football team, the Goa-based Dempo Sports Club is in doubt.
Chief patron of the Dempo Sports Club Srinivas Dempo told a sports conference in Panaji on Friday that the deal with the Bollywood actor hadn't gone "as expected".
"I cannot say much because I am bound by legalities. But things haven't gone as well as expected to be. We have to move on, but we are still connecting with other stars," Dempo said.
Khan, who already co-owns the Indian Premier League team Kolkata Knightriders was reported to buy 50 per cent of the shares of the Dempo Sports Club.
Khan was in negotiations with the Goa based club from October 2012, sparking hopes that the I-League would finally get a glamorous touch.
