Brisbane: Statistical highlights of the second cricket one-dayer between India and Australia here today.

- Shaun Marsh (71 off 84 balls) has posted his first half-century vs India - his eleventh in ODIs.

- Marsh is averaging 48.93 in a winning cause in ODIs - his tally being 1517 (ave.48.93) in 33 matches, including three hundreds and ten fifties.

- George Bailey's match-winning unbeaten 76 off 58 balls is his fourth fifty vs India - his 18th in ODIs.

- Bailey's performance vs India is superb in ODIs, averaging 95.85 - his aggregate being 671 in nine innings, including two hundreds and four fifties.

- Rohit Sharma (124 off 127 balls) has registered his tenth century - fifth vs Australia.

- Only two batsmen have registered more hundreds than Rohit Sharma vs Australia in ODIs - 9 by Sachin Tendulkar and 6 by Desmond Haynes.

- Rohit's outstanding innings is the highest by a batsman vs Australia at Gabba in ODIs, eclipsing Bill Athey's 111 for England on January 18, 1987.

- In all, seven players have recorded hundreds vs Australia at Gabba, Brisbane in ODIs.

- Rohit has received his eighth Man of the Match award in ODIs - his third vs Australia.

# For the first time, Rohit has been adjudged the Man of the Match in a losing cause in ODIs.

- Rohit and Vivian Richards are the only two batsmen to have registered three centuries vs Australia in Australia in ODIs.

- Rohit is the first Indian player to hit four hundreds in ODIs in Australia, eclipsing the three by VVS Laxman.

- Rohit has become the third batsman to hit back to back centuries against Australia in Australia in ODIs - 171 not out at Perth and 124 at Brisbane. England's Graeme Hick was the record the distinction - 108 at Sydney on January 17, 1999 and 109 at Adelaide on January 26, 1999. India's VVS Laxman had managed 103 not out at Brisbane on January 18, 2004 and 106 not out at Sydney on January 22, 2004.

- India's total of 308 is the fourth highest score in ODIs at Brisbane - the highest three are Australia's scores - 324 for 7 vs West Indies on Feb 14, 2010, 321 for six vs Sri Lanka on March 4, 2012 and 309 for three vs India on January 15, 2016.

- India have registered consecutive scores of 300 or more vs Australia in Australia for the first time in ODIs - 309 for three at Perth on January 12 and 308 for eight at Brisbane on January 15.

- India have failed to defend a target of 300 or more ten times - second highest tally next only to England's eleven.

- Australia have won four and lost two out of seven ODIs contested against India at Brisbane (NR 1).

- Australia's impressive seven-wicket victory is their largest in terms of wickets over India at Gabba, eclipsing the four-wicket win on January 12, 1986.

- Australia (309/3) have set a record by posting the highest successful chase at Gabba, Brisbane, eclipsing their 301 for nine vs England on January 17, 2014. These two scores are the only successful chases of 300 or more at this venue in ODIs.

- India (308/8) have registered their highest total at Brisbane in ODIs, surpassing the 303 for four vs Australia on January 18, 2004. The said total is the highest by any team vs Australia at Gabba, bettering the 306 by Sri Lanka vs Australia on March 4, 2012.

- Virat Kohli (59 off 67 balls) has registered his fourth fifty vs Australia - his 36th in ODIs.

- Virat has recorded consecutive fifties - 91 at Perth and 59 at Brisbane - For the first time in ODIs in Australia,

- Rohit and Virat put on 125 for the second wicket - India's highest partnership at Brisbane, eclipsing the 110 between VVS Laxman and Sachin Tendulkar on January 18, 2004. The said partnership is India's second highest for any wicket vs Australia at Brisbane next only to the 133 for the third wicket between Dravid and Laxman on January 18, 2004.

- Ajinkya Rahane (89 off 80 balls) has registered his first fifty vs Australia in ODIs, eclipsing the 44 at Sydney on March 26, 2015.

- Rahane's aforesaid innings is his 14th fifty in ODIs. His 89 is his highest ODI score in Australia, eclipsing the 79 vs South Africa at Melbourne on February 22, 2015. He has completed his 2,000 runs in ODIs - his tally being 2041 at an average of 33.45 in 65 matches.

- Aaron Finch (71) has posted his tenth fifty in ODIs - his fifth vs India.

- Steven Smith (46) has posted his fourth consecutive innings of 40-plus vs India in ODIs - his scores being 47 at Melbourne on 18-1-2015; 105 at Sydney on 26-3-2015; 149 at Perth on 12-1-2016 and 46 at Brisbane on 15-1-2016.

- The 145-run stand between Finch and Marsh is an Australian record for the first wicket vs India at Gabba in ODIs.
