India’s national selectors met in Mumbai on Sunday to pick the team for the first two Tests against Australia and decided to drop Gautam Gambhir from the team.
In place of Gautam Gambhir, Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay have been included in the team.

The injuries to the pacemen have seen the selectors pick swing bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the team as well. But the other big surprise is the inclusion of Harbahajan Singh despite a pretty ordinary Ranji season.
Gambhir will replace Dhawan in the India ‘A’ side for the 3-day game against Australia, to be played from Feb 16-18. He will lead the side
