He may have been accused of womanising by the Delhi Police after arresting him on charges of spot fixing, but that hasn't deterred a girl from Jaipur from deciding to get married to former India fast bowler S Sreesanth, and it could take place in a few months.
Sreesanth, who was recently released on bail by a Delhi court, is reportedly all set to get married to the young 'Jaipur-based' woman, who is from a well-off royal family in October this year.
The girl, in her 20s and a graduate, is still anonymous for now and little is known about her barring the fact that she first met him while taking his autograph in 2006 while he was playing in Jaipur and has stood by him through the entire spot-fixing controversy , reported the Hindu.
Her family has also not expressed any problems with the match and the girl's father has reportedly met with Sreesanth while he was in Tihar jail, the report stated.
Malayalam papers have carried reports of the impending nuptials even while Sreesanth was in jail.
Sreesanth, who has been visiting religious shrines and spending time at home since his release has chosen to remain silent on the details.
"My wedding will happen after Onam and everything will be according to the wishes of my parents," the bowler told the Times of India.
Sreesanth has reportedly said that he will start training from today in order to regain the eight kilos he shed while in Tihar jail in judicial custody. He was unable to start earlier due to heavy rains in Kerala.
Sreesanth's teammate in the Rajasthan Royals and fellow accused in the spot-fixing scandal, Ankeet Chavan also got married after being granted temporary bail by a court.
The Delhi Police has accused Sreesanth and two Rajasthan Royals teammates of colluding with bookies linked to the organised crime syndicate of Dawood Ibrahim to indulge in spot fixing during the recent IPL.
