Apart from the power you get perks like attendants, free housing and maybe the occasional round of golf. But minister Jitendra Singh smashed that hope with his talk to the latest IAS toppers. PIB image[/caption] According to an Economic Times report, the minister while promising them a ‘stress free environment’ to work in also told them that they’d need to put in most of their days in the office and rely more on yoga than a round of golf for their fitness. While asking them to ensure that they met expectations, the minister also had a valuable piece of advice for them,“You should not only be non-corrupt but also appear to be non-corrupt.” He also told them not to just focus on satisfying ministers whims, which most bureaucrats would say is easier said than done, and said they should ‘subtly show the right direction’ to political bosses.
