Rajya Sabha and CPM politburo member Sitaram Yechury today slammed the first three years of the second stint of the United Progressive Alliance government at the Centre calling its performance a burden on the common man.
“New and new scams are coming up everyday. Not a single law has been legislated as they promised within the first 100 days in power. The Food Security Bill, Women’s Reservation Bill are still to be legislated,” Yechury told reporters in New Delhi.
Another member of the Rajya Sabha and BJP national spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad also questioned the performance of the UPA 2.
“There is price rise, lack of infrastructure and no smile on the common man. When important advisers start questioning the progress, then I think the government has not done its job,” Prasad told media personnel in New Delhi.
