UP Congress head slams BJP for inducting Kushwaha

by Jan 4, 2012

Jumping on to cash on the induction of former tainted BSP minister Babu Singh Kushwaha in the Bharatiya Janata Party, Uttar Pradesh Congress Comittee chief Rita Bahuguna Joshi today slammed the saffron party for alleged double standards.

“If you look at the speeches by the BJP leaders it would seem like corruption in India won’t go away without the BJP. They seem to preach such moral high standards and look like they are the backbone of Anna Hazare‘s anti-corruption crusade,” Joshi said in Lucknow.

The BJP had inducted sacked ministers of the Mayawati-led BSP government Kushwaha and Badshah Singh on Tuesday.

The party is already embarrassed over its decision as the CBI raided the Babu Singh Kushwaha’s residence due to alleged National Rural Health Mission scam. Following the raids, the BJP has decided not to give ticket to Kushwaha.
