Twitter fumes over petrol price rise: 'Rs 3.38 hike, are you serious..!'

Too used to the declining fuel prices in the last two months, people were in for rude shock on Wednesday when the petrol price was hiked by a steep Rs 3.38 per litre and diesel by Rs 2.67 a litre. After the initial shock, the emotions soon turned into fury and what better place than Twitter to dispatch them. While a tweet demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi speak on the rising fuel price in the next edition of ‘Mann Ki Baat’, another even linked it with the submission of report by Justice SN Dhingra on questionable land deals by Robert Vadra, calling the report as a strategy to deviate attention from fuel prices. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal joined the tweet party as well. ““Rs 3.38” Thanks Modijee,” he tweeted. Perhaps, this could not have come at a better time for the Delhi Chief Minister, who sacked his minsiter Sandeep Kumar on Wednesday for a video featuring him in an alleged sex escapade. More than anything else what got a barrage of cursed tweets was acchhe din. For now, they seem a tad far away. Here are some of the reactions on Twitter on the fuel price rise:
