It appears that Uttar Pradesh Congress committee has finally taken note of the thinning support in Rahul Gandhi’s political rallies and is taking steps to correct it. To address this problem, AICC general secretary in-charge for the state, Madhusudan Mistry has called a review meeting of all the zones in Lucknow. The meeting, scheduled for November 9, will review party activities in the last one month, discuss the problems and plan strategy for all the eight zones in the state, The Indian Express reported. Sources have also told The Indian Express that the party men in UP have advised Rahul Gandhi not to hold two rallies on the same day as it is difficult to mobilise enough crowds for two rallies. Rahul Gandhi had earlier held two rallies in Aligarh and Hamirpur on the same day. The poor show at these rallies has reportedly made him upset. This could be a move to salvage that situation, senior party leaders added.
