Swamy's dig at Kejriwal: Unlike you, I will move court

While accusing Congress President Sonia Gandhi and son Rahul Gandhi of graft, Janata Party leader Subramanian Swamy took a dig at India Against Corruption (IAC) activist Arvind Kejriwal. Referring to Kejriwal’s series of exposes on the political establishment, Swamy said, unlike Kejriwal, he was not one of those who ‘hit and run’ or ‘shoot and scoot’. Swamy said that for every issue of corruption highlighted by him, he has moved court and he would do the same this time also. “Unlike Kejriwal, I will go to court. I have faith in the country’s judiciary. My track record shows that I move court,” he said. I don’t know if they will go and verify the status of share holders in these companies like they did in Gadkari’s case,” said Swamy. Swamy has accused Sonia and Rahul Gandhi of perjury and demanded a CBI inquiry in an alleged fraud involving the Congress President and her son over the ownership of a public company that owns a pricey property in the heart of Delhi. At a press conference in New Delhi today, he said that Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul “fraudently” converted a public trust into private property. “The two Congress leaders acquired a Rs 1,600 cr property called ‘Herald House’ owned by Associated Journals Ltd in Delhi for just Rs 50 lakh,” he alleged. Swamy also alleged that both Rahul and Sonia had a 76 percent stake in a private company ‘Young Indian’, which was used to take over Associated Journals and acquire Herald House. He accused the Congress general secretary of not disclosing about his shares in Young Indian in his affidavit to the Election Commission while filing his nomination papers for the 2008 Lok Sabha elections.
