New Delhi: The much-awaited organisational reshuffle in the Congress, in which general secretary Rahul Gandhi is expected to get a more prominent role, may happen after Diwali, party sources said on Tuesday. Congress sources, who had earlier indicated a pre-Diwali rejig, said that if the reshuffle does not take place before 22 November, when the winter session of parliament begins, the exercise could be held after the session ends on 20 December. Though the Congress is busy preparing for the review-cum-strategy meet on 9 November at Haryana’s Surajkund town near Delhi, party sources said it had nothing to do with the likely organisational reshuffle. According to party leaders, the blueprint for the All India Congress Committee reshuffle had been prepared. Congress chief Sonia Gandhi would decide the time to announce it. Speculation over an organisational reshuffle gained ground after the rejig in the union council of ministers on 28 October. IANS
