Parliament Live: RS creates JPC in chopper deal, BJP walks out

The UPA government is likely to face flak over its handling of the AgustaWestland helicopter deal in parliament today despite the fact that it has promised to take action over the deal.

The Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamal Nath has promised to take any steps to tackle any corruption in the deal and take steps on the basis of a political consensus in Parliament.

The government has not ruled out the formation of a Joint Parliamentary Committee to probe the allegations and is likely to point to the ongoing CBI probe into the deal as part of the action that has already been taken.

But will the Opposition let the government off the hook that easily?
