Modi pays courtesy call to PM, President

New Delhi: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi Monday paid a courtesy call on President Pranab Mukherjee and Vice President Hamid Ansari here, a statement said.

Modi paid the “courtesy call” upon taking over as chief minister for the fourth time, after his Bharatiya Janata Party won the state assembly elections last month.

The BJP bagged 115 seats, two short of its 117 tally of 2007, of the total 182 seats in the state assembly. The Congress got 61 seats.
