Mayawati is worse than a prostitute, says UP BJP's vice-president

BJP’s vice-president in Uttar Pradesh Dayashankar Singh, in one of the most cheap, disgusting, personal and sexist attacks, said that Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief and former chief minister of UP, Mayawati is worse than a prostitute. Screenshot from Pradesh18 video.[/caption] According to a Pradesh18 report, Singh made this extremely cheap remark while he was visiting Mau in Uttar Pradesh. Singh was appointed as the vice-president of BJP’s UP unit on 12 July. “Even a prostitute fulfills her commitment after she is paid. But Mayawati sells party tickets to anyone who paid her the highest amount. If someone gives her Rs 1 crore for a ticket she will give it to other person who is offering Rs 2 crore," Singh said. “Mayawati has become worse than a prostitute and abandons the ideals of Kanshi Ram,” he said. The BJP leader also claimed that the party will win over 300 seats in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. The party should definitely be more concerned about the kind of people it appoints as its UP unit’s vice-president. Mayawati reacted to his statement by saying that “These kind of derogatory statements show that BJP is frustrated with the growing public support for BSP.”

She further added that she was unaware of what Singh said and if anything objectionable is found, the party will deliberate on it.

Singh’s remark against Mayawati came on the same day when the BSP supremo blamed the Centre for “rising incidents of atrocities against the Dalits” in the Parliament. Mayawati had raised the issue of four Dalit youths being beaten up in public and parading them in Una town in Gujarat by cow protection vigilantes. She made these claims in Rajya Sabha. “Since the BJP-led government has come to power (at the Centre), the Dalits are being exploited at different levels. There are several incidents, and this reflects the narrow and casteist mindset of this party towards these groups,” Mayawati had said. You can watch the video of Singh’s remarks here:
