Kejriwal says Anandiben Patel quit because of AAP: Who said what on Gujarat CM's resignation

As BJP accepted the resignation of the incumbent Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel, who wanted to be relieved before November, reactions began coming in from most of the eminent politicians in the country.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal dubbed the sudden move as 'AAP's victory in its fight against corruption'.

In a series of tweets, Delhi CM said that BJP is scared of Aam Aadmi Party's growing popularity.

BJP president Amit Shah confirmed ANI that the party has accepted Patel's resignation and it will kept before the parliamentary board for further consideration. He indicated that the replacement for Patel will be done so that new CM has time to prepare for Vibrant Gujarat summit in January.

Ahmed Patel, Congress leader and Gujarat MP, said that Patel's resignation meant BJP's sure defeat in 2017 Gujarat polls.

CPM tweeted to Amit Shah saying: "You can't escape responsibility for anti-Dalit culture and policies promoted by the Sangh Parivar by Anandiben Patel's resignation."

In a Facebook post in Gujarati, Patel on Monday called upon the BJP leadership to "relieve" her from her present responsibilities in keeping with the party's laudable tradition of leaders who turn 75 vacating their posts.
