by Aug 2, 2012

“In giving up the fast they would actually take the movement forward and not backward,” said Yogendra Yadav, senior fellow at the CSDS, to CNN-IBN.

“I would not like them to risk their life or health,” he said.

According to Yogendra Yadav embracing politics is the way ahead for Team Anna as they need fight corruption through main stream politics.

“To my mind the way forward is to understand that rooting out corruption is an issue which sooner than later would involve confronting the political question. I would like them to embrace politics more directly,” he said.

Team Anna can also central role in connecting other movements all over the country, Yadav said,

“This is not the first time anyone has started doing these things. There is a very vast repository of social movements in this country all of which needs to be brought in. Team Anna can become a point were all this positive energy of the country can come together,” he said.
