Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, while addressing the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, attacked Modi government over several issues ranging from black money to Rohith Vemulla's death. He said that Modi had promised that he will put people with black money behind bars but now had come up with ways to save them.
He also claimed that he makes mistakes, unlike the RSS. It seems Rahul Gandhi has decided to carry on making statements like 'poverty is a state of mind' or his observation about the escape velocity of Jupiter. Call it a serious criticism of the government or an outright stand-up comedy show, the Congress second-in-command albeit managed to make TV viewers pause and watch him.
Here are the top ten quotes from Rahul Gandhi's speech:
Rahul's wisdom: The PM has launched a "Fair & Lovely" yojana, to convert black money into white.
Claiming that he has his ears to the ground, Rahul said that he listens to the public before talking in the Lok Sabha.
What is wrong in stating that Gandhi is ours and Savarkar yours? asked Rahul.
Raking up Rohith Vemula's death and JNU row, Rahul asked about the religious relevance of the whole issue.
He also called the 'Make In India' lion mascot an omnipresent 'babbar sher'.
And he had this to say on ABVP workers waving black flags at him on his visit to JNU.
To BJP members present in the House, he expressed his views on what their teachers at RSS taught them.
And as usual, the Congress vice-president took a unique dig at the PM.
He had some 'profound' views on the Naga accord too.
And finally, he had some advice for the youth.
