Team Anna supporter Arvind Kejriwal has said that he was upset over a breach of privilege notice issued to him because he spoke about the conduct of MPs. [caption id=“attachment_255042” align=“alignleft” width=“380” caption=“Kejriwal said those who gave tickets to criminals were the ones direspecting Parliament: Naresh Sharma/Firstpost”] [/caption]Speaking at Jantar Mantar where he, along with Anna Hazare, is conducting a token fast in solidarity with whistleblowers, Kejriwal said, “I received a notice from Rajniti Prasad. He is the MP who tore the Lokpal bill in Lok Sabha. And he is telling me that I insulted the parliament,”. “165 MPs face criminal charges against them. Out of these, 14 MPs face murder charges and 20 face attempt to murder charges. Who is insulting Parliament..me or the people who gave these MPs tickets?” Kejriwal asked. Kejriwal said that had jan Lokpal been there, FIRs would have been lodged against tainted MPs. “Let me tell you that I have said nothing wrong when I spoke the character of MPs. Even then if the government believes that I have committed a crime, I am ready to face any punishment.” Meanwhile it would also seem that Irfaan Khan starrer Paan Singh Tomar has got a fan in Kejriwal. The anti- corruption crusader told the crowds that he had watched the movie thrice. And unsurprisingly, Kejriwal’s favourite dialogue from the movie is the one where, referring to the political scenario of the country, Tomar says, “Beehad mein baaghi milte hain..dakait milte hain parliament mein” (in villages, you get rebels.. decoits are found in Parliament). “The audience claps when the hero says these lines. Why? It is a serious matter and our parliamentarians should think about it,” said Kejriwal.
