Gujarat Congress president and MLA Arjun Modhwadia took on Chief Minister Narendra Modi for slow GDP growth in the state.
“The Gujarat GDP growth is below 9.5 percent. Modi wants to compete with Germany. But the fact is Bihar’s GDP growth is way up at 14.5%,” Modhwadia told a press conference.

Gujarat is known as a friendly state for industrialists and has attracted big ticket investments from Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki India and the Adani Group.
With the polls scheduled on 13 and 17 December, Modhwadia’s comments assume importance as the BJP is fighting the polls taking development as the key focus.
The counting is scheduled on 20 December.
