"Jiske ke khilaf itna serious case chal raha ho usse maha sachiv banaya hai, BJP barbadi ki aur chal rahi hai (The person who has been appointed as general secretary has got serious charges against him. The BJP is going towards self-destruction," Union IT Minister Kapil Sibal told ANI on making Amit Shah the general secretary of the BJP.

"The fight is between Modi and BJP," Sibal said.

"The new team was made keeping in mind the geographical and caste equations. Fair amount of representatives are from the SC/ST, women and youth. This team was formed to provide an alternative to the inefficient and corrupt UPA government," said Naqvi.

10.30 am BJP announces National Office Bearers 2013

BJP president Rajnath Singh announced the names of central office bearers of the party re-inducting Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi to the central parliamentary board after a gap of six years.

Among popular figures who got significant positions in the team are Smriti Irani, Amit Shah, Varun Gandhi, Ramlal and Uma Bharti among others.
