Nagpur: For now, Nitin Gadkari is safe as president of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Or so it seemed, with the RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat seen sharing the dais with Gadkari and choosing not to slam BJP chief during his annual Vijay Dashmi day address today morning.
However, the RSS chief was not so kind on the government as he attacked the Centre on corruption and assured the groups fighting illicit practices of RSS backing.
“There is a demand for a strong Lokpal to fight corruption. It is not being done. There are some movements against corruption and our cadres are supporting it,” CNN-IBN reported Bhagwat as saying.
The RSS axe does not look like hanging on Gadkari’s neck immediately with Bhagwat calling the questionable dealings involving Gadkari as an “internal matter” of the BJP.
“Gadkari issue is BJP’s internal matter, we won’t comment on it,” he said.
