Delhi chief minister and Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal met actor Kamal Haasan at his Chennai residence on Thursday amid speculation of the veteran actor joining politics soon. The meeting is currently underway. According to CNN-News18, Kejriwal reportedly invited Haasan for the meet. Party sources also said that that Hassan may start movement before floating a party, reported the news channel.

earlier reports , the meeting is expected to shed light on the actor’s future to join politics which could lead to a ripple effect in New Delhi. According to
Hindustan Times, Kejriwal is expected to offer Haasan AAP as a platform to launch the actor’s political career. The 62-year-old actors has kept the people guessing over his political debut. He, however, ruled out joining the BJP. “My colour is definitely not saffron. That much I can say now,” Haasan had said after meeting Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan in Thiruvananthapuram on 1 September. Haasan has been very active politically of late and levying corruption charges against the state government. He even congratulated the CPM-led LDF government in Kerala for “good governance"on its first anniversary in May this year. He fuelled speculation about his expected political plunge when he attended an event organised by the DMK in Chennai in August.
