Advani remains silent on Modi’s national goals

Although BJP leader LK Advani called Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi a ‘role model’ of the country, he preferred to remain silent on Modi’s national ambitions.

“The country is fortunate to have a decisive and honest administrator like Narendra Modi. He is a role model for other administrators in the country,” Advani told an election rally at Kalol in Gujarat.

Despite Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj batting for Modi’s role in the national scene, BJP president Nitin Gadkari, however, chose to give credit to the party than the individual.

“Under Narendra Modi, the BJP government in Gujarat has set new standards of development while Congress has ruined the country,” Gadkari told an election rally at Mehsana in Gujarat.

With Modi eyeing the top executive role in South Block, sycophants have also flocked around him.

At an election rally in Sabarkantha district, BJP leader Smriti Irani compared the Gujarat chief minister with Lord Shiva who is having the poison distributed by the Congress.
