AAP to contest in Punjab polls in 2017

Ludhiana: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday said it would field its candidates in all the 117 seats of Punjab where Assembly elections are due in 2017 and ruled out any electoral understanding with Congress, BJP and the Akali Dal. Sucha Singh Chotepur, convener of the state unit of the party, announced this here during a party meeting to take stock of the preparations of Maghi fair political conference scheduled to be held at Muktsar in January next year. Chotepur, meanwhile, ruled out any alliance or electoral understanding with the Congress, BJP and the Akali Dal in 2017 Punjab assembly elections. Several senior leaders of other parties are keen to join Aam Aadmi party, he added. Chotepur also said that some big guns will soon join AAP at the Muktsar rally in the presence of Kejriwal.
