A 27-year old woman has been found dead in National Congress Party (NCP) MLA Baban Rao Shinde’s hostel room in Amdar Niwas in Mumbai.
The woman was identified as the niece of Shinde’s Personal Assistant.

A case of unnatural death has been registered by the Cuffe Parade police station. The police have not recovered any suicide note so far and the brother of the deceased has also ruled out any foul play in the incident.
The police say that the woman had attempted suicide in the past. According to her brother, she was looking for a job in Mumbai and was suffering from depression for not being successful in doing so.
The MLA in question is currently in Madha, his assembly constituency. The leader is reportedly close to Sharad Pawar whose Lok Sabha constituency is also Madha.
