UP Elections Images: Likely winners and losers

Elections 2012 – touted as a mini general election before the finals in 2014 – has turned out to be a nail-biter. Uttar Pradesh is heading for a hung verdict with the Samajwadi Party in a clear lead but well short of a majority. As things stand, it will probably be a SP-Congress coalition since a BSP-BJP-Others coalition would be tougher to put together, especially since the BJP said it won’t ally with the BSP. Mulayam Singh Yadav has, however, indicated that it could join hands with the Congress to keep any potential BSP-BJP alliance out of power. This seems the most likely scenario. We look at the day's likely biggest winners and losers.
