The world’s largest consumer technology trade show, also known as the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), runs from Jan 7-10 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Now in its 47th year, CES remains one of the most important events on the industry’s calendar, even as other shows like Mobile World Congress and IFA battle for the gadget spotlight. Both established tech companies as well as hopeful newcomers see the conference as an optimal opportunity to showcase their latest innovations. And this year, wearable technology is expected to take centre stage. Several companies are expected to unveil wearable devices that are easier to use, extend battery life, and tap into the power of gestures, social networks and cloud computing. Apart from that, there is the usual quirky futuristic stuff that look like they belong on a set of a ‘Jetsons’ movie. Internet connected toothbrushes, an Android powered oven and a full body harness that will change the way you game are all on display at the event this year. Here are some of the more quirky gadgets you can expect to find.
