Poonam Dhillon returned to the stage with her play, U-Turn, alongside Aasif Sheikh. The inaugural show was performed at the Manik Sabagraha Hall in Bandra, Mumbai on Sunday evening to an enthralled house of theatre enthusiasts. On the opening night, Poonam was effortless and natural in her portrayal of a widow. She was simply stunning as Mrs Rama Gokhale to the stern and gruff Colonel Bhonsle played by Aasif Sheikh. The play traces the lives of these two very distinct individuals who come together quite by accident and how they go on to form a relationship subsequently. U-Turn is an award-winning hit play in Marathi, and has now been adapted in Hindi. Poonam has been actively involved in theatre in recent times and has done The Perfect Husband, The Perfect Wife and Pyar Mein Kabhi Kabhi earlier.
