Images: Police, IAC face off at anti-corruption march

Aug 26, 2012   (9 images)

A protest by India Against Corruption activists this morning, in which they attempted to 'gherao' the residences of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress President Sonia Gandhi and BJP President Nitin Gadkari, saw plenty of drama. Police used tear gas, water cannons and lathicharges to disperse the protestors. Kejriwal hit out at the action later, saying the use of force to disperse a peaceful protest was disproportionate and a ploy by the BJP and Congress who were looting the nation. These are some images of protestors trying to navigate police barricades near the residence of Sonia Gandhi at 10 Janpath.
