Union Minister and former Maharashtra chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today passed away at the Global Hospitals in Chennai after prolonged illness. The minister, who was 67, died at 1.40pm. The minister was likely to go for liver and kidney transplants once his condition stabilised and the organs were available. The family members were by his side when he breathed his last. Following his death, leaders across political affiliations went to the hospital to pay last respects to the departed soul. Here are some images:
