As Assam faces one of the worst floods in recent memories, the swelling rivers have breached dykes and embankments. The Dibrugarh town in Assam is right on the banks of the Brahmaputra and is only saved by the decades old embankment. The weakening embankment had to face the full flood fury of the Brahmaputra leading to panic among its residents. Here are some images:
